Celebrating the Class of 2026

20th Aug 2026

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the achievements of our Class of 2026, who have secured a fantastic set of GCSE results.

This year’s results mark another important milestone for MEA Central as we look forward to our tenth year as a school in 2027. Our students have achieved excellent outcomes across English and Maths, reflecting the hard work, commitment and ambition of the whole school community, alongside the expert guidance, care and dedication of staff who have worked tirelessly to support them throughout their journey.

Measure MEA Central 2026
Grade 7+ English & Maths 11%
Grade 5+ English & Maths (strong pass) 49%
Grade 4+ English & Maths (standard pass) 67%

There is much to celebrate across the curriculum, with particularly strong outcomes in English. 82% of students achieved Grade 4 or above in English, with 70% achieving Grade 5 or above. In Maths, 70% of students achieved Grade 4 or above and 52% achieved Grade 5 or above.

Our vocational subjects, including Creative iMedia, Child Development, Enterprise and Marketing and Sports Studies, also achieved some excellent outcomes, with 71% of Cambridge National grades at Level 2 Pass or above. In Sports Studies, 29% of grades were awarded at Level 2 Distinction to Distinction*.

Behind these results are five years of hard work, commitment and ambition from our students. Throughout their time at MEA Central, the Class of 2026 have embodied our values of Citizenship, Achievement and Participation. We are proud not only of the qualifications they leave us with, but of the young people they have become and the contribution they have made to our school community.

Celebrating individual success

There were many exceptional individual performances across the year group. While we are proud of every student and the progress they have made, among a number of outstanding individual successes were:

  • Ibrahim achieved an exceptional clean sweep of top grades, securing Grade 9s in all eight GCSE subjects, including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, Further Maths, English and English Literature, alongside Level 2 Distinction Stars in both Creative iMedia and Sports Studies. IA follows in the footsteps of his sister, Ramla, who left MEA Central two years ago having achieved her own clean sweep of top grades, making this another remarkable family achievement.

  • Hala achieved an outstanding set of results, securing eight Grade 9s, including Art, Biology, Chemistry, Further Maths, History, Maths, Physics and Spanish, alongside top grades in English and English Literature.

  • Tanisha achieved a fantastic set of results, securing six Grade 9s, including English Literature, Further Maths, Geography, Maths, RE and a double Grade 9 in Science, alongside Level 2 Distinction Stars in both Child Development and Sports Studies.

  • Pablo achieved an excellent set of results, securing five Grade 9s, including History, Maths, Spanish and a double Grade 9 in Science, alongside a top grade in English and Level 2 Distinctions in both Creative iMedia and Hospitality and Catering.

Fantastic futures

Results day is also about what comes next. Members of the Class of 2026 will now take their next steps into sixth forms, colleges, apprenticeships and other exciting opportunities, joining our growing community of MEA Central alumni.

Their destinations reflect the different talents, interests and ambitions of our students and our commitment to ensuring every young person leaves MEA Central ready to pursue their own fantastic future.

A message from our Principal

Emily Reynard, Principal of MEA Central, said:

“I am incredibly proud of the Class of 2026 and everything they have achieved. This is a particularly special year group for us. They joined MEA Central in 2021, becoming the year group that made our school full for the very first time, and their start to secondary school came after significant disruption to their primary education.

“Throughout their five years with us, they have shown true resilience, determination and ambition. They have made a lasting contribution to our school and will be a year group we remember for many years to come.

“As they leave us, they join our growing community of MEA Central alumni, and we wish every one of them the very best as they take their next steps and go on to achieve their fantastic futures.”

The Class of 2026 have made their mark on MEA Central. Their results are a wonderful celebration of Achievement, but their legacy is about much more than grades. Through their Citizenship, Achievement and Participation, they have contributed enormously to our school community and helped shape the school MEA Central is today.

Congratulations to every member of the Class of 2026. We could not be prouder of you.
