We have been celebrating Music Month here at MEA Central and have thoroughly enjoyed it!
We have been very lucky and have had external Music Workshops visit us in school to help us celebrate.
Year 7 were able to experience a Music Well-Being Workshop. This aimed at helping the students to embrace themselves and to love the things that make them unique. Students (and teachers) sang their hearts out and really enjoyed their session.
Year 9 were able to work with a professional musician who specialises in violin and beatboxing. Students were greeted by an electronic violin performance, which fascinated them! They were then able to join in with a beatboxing workshop.
The session ended with a Q&A, where students were able to learn about a musicians day to day life. Well done to students for asking such thoughtful questions!
